Those are all from my collection...but what I think I love the most is the scan of the title page of one of them--note that it's the "Thirty-seventh edition"! That kind of says it all, doesn't it?Marissa Doylehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11248406475808085694noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7730888263639781223.post-11418761349601450112009-04-18T12:24:00.000-04:002009-04-18T12:24:00.000-04:00I just love that picture of the books! Margaret is the daughter of a country clergyman and considers herself above Mr. Thorton, a mill owner. However, Mrs. Thorton, the mill owner's mother, considers herself above Margaret! Your post really helped explain the class differences and why Margaret leans towards being snooty at first though the Thortons are more wealthy. I will reread it and add some commentary to my blog.<br />... off to add that to my list of things to do this summer!QNPoohBearhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14941631487565237299noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7730888263639781223.post-63444554102649543012009-04-15T16:54:00.000-04:002009-04-15T16:54:00.000-04:00Thanks, QNPoohBear. The A&E movie is excellent though it took some liberties with the novel.QNPoohBearhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14941631487565237299noreply@blogger.com
